Responding to SMSes received Tuesday, October 20, 2009 With immediate effect, in order to facilitate the smooth operation of our SMS Web Chat between Students and Tutors, we are implementing a system of demerit points for tutors who do not respond to student or A-Star SMS sent to them. After exceeding a quota of un-responded SMS and demerit points by the tutor, the tutor profile will automatically be barred from using our SMS Chat feature. A reactivation fee of $5 and a yearly fee of $30 payable in advance will be charged for such tutors should they wish to continue using our SMS Chat.
